Mad City Model Railroad Show & Sale Poster Concept

Project: To create a poster concept for a randomly assigned event.
Process: I began by making a mind map for model trains, where I came up with two different ideas: steampunk and vintage holiday cards. After creating mood boards for each of my ideas, I chose the steampunk inspired board because I felt I could have a lot of fun with typography. I created the gear border in Illustrator, and found royalty-free assets and photos to create the background.
